Amanda : bridal prep. // norwood, missouri wedding photographer

Several weekends ago my friend Richard married the love of his life, Amanda. :)
I was honored, not only to attend and take part in the joy of their beautiful wedding, but I also had the pleasure of capturing the bride's preparation for her groom. :)
What is any bride without her dress? Hers was the Cinderella fairy tale, princess, dream-come-true dress that every little girl pines for with all the sparkles and lace, sequins and pearls.
Complete with the cutest little slippers. :)
Blue hydrangeas. Always a favorite for a wedding day.
And now we come to the nursery...where all the primping took place. :)
Enter the beautiful bride herself. :D
During the tedious process of getting her hair Just Perfect, she did one of her bridesmaid's nails. What a servant. :D
This cracks me up! They were fun. :D
Makeup time. :)
Richard. You have yourself a knock-out.
Aaaand, she finally got to put on that spectacular dress of hers. :)
All ready!!
She was pretty pumped. ;)
Amanda, dear, thank you so much for letting me give my opinion on what color bobby pins she should use on you and whether you should go with matte or shiny eyeshadow...letting me be 4 inches from your face as you put on your mascara as my camera was shuttering away...and most of all, thanks for letting me do my best to capture the fun moments as you became as pretty as could be for your man. I don't know about you but I certainly had a blast. ;)
I can tell that we are gonna be friends. :)

  1. Beautiful job! I especially love the ring shots. :) I did a Bridal Prep shoot once before starting my business. It was a great learning experience! I'm probably older than you and been taking pictures for longer & I can still learn so much from your photos. Thanks for the inspiration! xo

Thanks again for taking these :)
Amanda and I (especially me) are very glad you were able to get these shots as it is the only way I can see behind the scenes of my beautiful bride getting ready!

BTW would you mind me posting a link to this page on Facebook for friends and family to see?

  6. Okay, your photography skills are amazing. And such a beautiful bride to capture! I have to ask; what camera/lens do you use? Your photographs are so crisp and cut... I'd love to know, if you don't mind. :)
    Blessings!
