My Mother :) {northeast, tx lifestyle and portrait photographer} [personal]

Once upon a time there was a little girl
 that had always wanted to grow up
 and have little girls of her own
that would call her Mommy.
 That same little girl is my Mama...
she got half of her wish. ;)
And I'm so glad that God used
my sister Holly and I
to fulfill her dream!! :)

{Mama (22) and meeeee! (9 months...in her belly ;D)}

"The moment a child is born, the mother is also born.  She never existed before.  The woman existed, but the mother, never.  A mother is something absolutely new."
Rajneesh
{In the hospital...the day after this lovely young woman gave birth to me :)}

"A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie."
Tenneva Jordan
{Baby me, my Mama-dear, and my big sis, Holly waaaay back when}

"Mothers hold their children's hands for a short while, but their hearts forever."
Author Unknown
{Little me...in the adorable outfits Mama was so kind to dress me in. :) Btw...isn't Mama's hair fantastic in these pictures?? I love it!}

"The phrase 'working mother' is redundant."
Jane Sellman

"A daughter is a mother's gender partner, her closest ally in the family confederacy, an extension of her self.  And mothers are their daughters' role model, their biological and emotional road map, the arbiter of all their relationships."
Victoria Secunda
{Mama & Holly}
{Madre and me...dressing up like the Bennets and fixing hair....thats what Mamas are for! Credit for both these pictures goes to Rachel Leigh :) }

Mothers are versatile. They are there to help you through any kind of obstacle. Whether it be building a snowman....or graduating from high school. ;)

I love my mother as the trees love water and sunshine - she helps me grow, prosper, and reach great heights.

"Grown don't mean nothing to a mother.  A child is a child.  They get bigger, older, but grown?  What's that suppose to mean?  In my heart it don't mean a thing."
Toni Morrison, Beloved, 1987

Who taught my infant lips to pray,
And love God’s holy book and day.
And walk in Wisdom’s pleasant way?
My Mother.
And can I ever cease to be
Affectionate and kind to thee,
Who was so very kind to me?
My Mother
Ah, no! the thought I cannot bear;
And if God please my life to spare,
I hope I shall reward thy care,
My Mother.
Who ran to help me when I fell,
And would some pretty story tell,
Or kiss the place to make it well?
My Mother.
When thou art feeble, old, and gray,
My healthy arm shall be thy stay,
And I will soothe thy pains away.
My Mother.
And when I see thee hang thy head,
‘Twill be my turn to watch thy bed.
And tears of sweet affection shed,
My Mother.
Ann Taylor (1783 –1866)

Today I am thankful to God for my mother.
